There’s something about putting on the first pair of boots for the season that makes it feel official.
Maybe it’s pulling them on after months of sandals. Maybe it’s that first morning when a sweater actually feels like a good idea. Or maybe we’ve just been looking for an excuse to talk about shoes again.
Either way, fall has found its way to Miz Mooz.

The Boots Are Back
We missed them too.
There are few things we love more than a really good leather boot—the kind that looks better the more you wear it and somehow finds its way into outfit after outfit.
This season's women's boots come in all sorts of personalities. There are easy ankle boots, lace-ups with a little edge, classic Chelsea boots, heeled silhouettes and tall boots ready for their moment.
Some are understated. Some most definitely are not.
The new collection already includes styles like the August and Amirah lace-up boots, Lia and Leilani Chelsea boots, Joana heeled boot and Loren tall boot.
In other words, boot season is looking promising.
Oh, Hello Again
Not everything new has to be a stranger.
A few familiar faces have made their way back into the collection, including one we’re particularly happy to see: Louise, our much-loved leather ankle bootie.
If you know, you know.
With her easy ankle height, beautiful leather and wear-with-everything shape, Louise is one of those shoes that simply earns her place. The pair you reach for without thinking, the one that works with the jeans you always wear and the dress you weren't sure what to put with.
Those are our forever favourites. And we're always happy when one comes back for another season.
An encore? Absolutely.
Loafers Are Having a Very Good Fall
Boots might get most of the attention this time of year, but the loafers aren't exactly sitting quietly in the corner.
New styles including Mia, Lucia, Peabody, Foster and Legend Duet have joined the collection.
We love a leather loafer because it can be whatever the day requires. A little polished with trousers. A little preppy with socks. Easy with denim. Unexpectedly good with a dress.
They're sensible in theory.
Miz Mooz loafers tend to have other ideas.
Interesting shapes, rich leather and unexpected details give the classic silhouette just enough personality to keep things interesting.
Flats, But Never Flat
Then there are the flats.
Zephyr and Zaire are among the newest arrivals, joining a category we have always had a bit of a soft spot for.
A good leather flat doesn't ask much of you. Pull it on, head out the door and somehow look like you put considerably more thought into getting dressed than you actually did.
Exactly how we like it.
Wear them now while afternoons are still warm. Add socks and layers as the temperature drops. Keep wearing them long after you've officially admitted that summer is over.
The Little Things
Of course, a new season at Miz Mooz has never just been about checking off a list of trends.
It’s the details that get us.
A buckle that makes a leather boot a little more interesting. An unexpected stitch on a loafer. A button that gives a flat its personality. A beautifully worn-in-looking leather. A sole with a little more attitude. A colour that somehow works with everything you own.
Our shoes are made to have personality because we think the people wearing them do too.
And while trends might give us an excuse to try something new, the best shoes are usually the ones that stop feeling “new” surprisingly quickly.
They simply start feeling like yours.
Just the Beginning
A few new favourites have wandered in, but don't get too comfortable—more are still on the way. Miz Mooz's current New Arrivals collection already spans new boots, flats and loafers, with the site teasing additional fall arrivals to come.
